Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], October 30 (ANI): Rocking star Yash’s children, Ayra and Yatharv, had their first movie-watching experience with their father’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ premiere in Los Angeles, making the occasion a special family moment.
The seven-year-old Ayra and Yatharv, who turned seven on October 30, watched the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic directed by Namit Malhotra, according to the press release shared by the film’s team.
The film holds particular significance for Yash, who plays Ravana in the two-part adaptation and is also associated with its production through his banner, Monster Mind Creations. For his children, however, the film will remain connected with their first experience of watching a movie on the big screen.
Yash and his wife, actor Radhika Pandit, have previously spoken about the thought behind naming their children. Ayra’s name draws inspiration from Airavathi, another name associated with Goddess Lakshmi, while Yatharv means ‘complete’. The couple had also revealed that their son’s name brings together elements of the names of Yash, Radhika and Ayra.
‘Ramayana’ features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
Directed by Tiwari and produced by Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with 8-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is envisioned as a two-part epic.
‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, 2026, while the second part is planned for Diwali 2027. (ANI)
