FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. — More than 200 guests gathered May 2 at Maharaj Banquet & Grill for “Dr. Anu Gupta Live Performances – Mother’s Day Special: A Celebration of Love & Melody,” an evening dedicated to music, mothers and community celebration.
The event brought together families, music enthusiasts and members of the Indian American community for an evening of Bollywood melodies, live performances and cultural fellowship.
The program opened with live instrumental performances by the Hitesh Master Orchestra, setting an energetic tone for the evening. Singer Rajesh Chalam entertained the audience with renditions of popular songs including “Janam Dekh Lo,” “Jadu Teri Nazar” and “Ek Ajnabee Haseena.”
The highlight of the evening was the performance by Dr. Anu Gupta, whose performances of songs such as “Tu Kitani Achhi Hai,” “Dil Hai Chhota Sa” and “Zara Zara Mehekata” received enthusiastic applause from attendees.

Duets performed by Dr. Gupta and Rajesh Chalam, including “Dheere Dheere Se,” “Salame Ishq” and “Aisi Deewangi,” drew strong audience appreciation, while vocalist Prital Patel added youthful energy with performances of “Akhiyo Ke Zarokho” and “Main Tere Ishq Mein.”
As the evening progressed, guests filled the dance floor during upbeat medleys featuring songs such as “Mehboob Mere,” “Kajraare,” “Tip Tip,” and several classic disco hits.
Attendees also enjoyed a multi-cuisine dinner prepared by Maharaj Banquet & Grill, contributing to the festive atmosphere of community and togetherness.
The musical and technical team included Hitesh Master Nayak on keyboard, Raju Syed on guitar, Bobby Messy on congo and dholak, Kalyan Pathak on drums, Anand Master Nayak handling sound, Amit Patel as DJ, and Poornima Decorators overseeing décor and stage design.
Speaking at the event, Suresh Bodiwala praised the organizers and performers for creating a memorable Mother’s Day celebration.

The event concluded with standing ovations, dancing and a celebration of music, motherhood and community spirit.
