SCHAUMBURG, IL — The Hindu Women’s Network (HWN), Chicago Chapter, an initiative of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), successfully hosted its “Women, Wellness & Community – Women’s Health and Healthy Life” program on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the National India Hub in Schaumburg, Illinois.
The well-attended event brought together physicians, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and community volunteers to promote women’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being while strengthening the bonds that unite the Indian-American community.

Co-hosted by the National India Hub, the afternoon featured distinguished speakers, interactive discussions, networking opportunities, and inspiring messages that encouraged women to become catalysts for positive change within their families and society.
The guiding philosophy of the organizers at Hindu Women’s Network is laid out in three Sanskrit principles: Shakti – Inner strength; confidence, and empowerment; Seva – Selfless service to society and families in need. and Sadhana – Personal spiritual growth and lifelong self-improvement.
The organization also strives to build a national network of Hindu women living throughout America by encouraging communication, collaboration, volunteerism, and the sharing of knowledge, talents, skills, and the timeless wisdom of Hindu traditions.
It also seeks to cultivate Hindu values in everyday life, empower women by sharing knowledge and professional expertise, and inspire them to use their talents for the greater good of society. HWN says it recognizes the important role women play as the torchbearers of Hindu Samskaras—the cultural values, traditions, ethics, and spiritual principles that shape future generations.
To achieve its goals, HWN regularly creates opportunities for women to network, exchange ideas, mentor one another, and collaborate on meaningful community initiatives. It also provides forums where social, cultural, educational, health, and family-related issues affecting women can be openly discussed while developing practical solutions.
Vaidya Deepti Suri, an expert in Ayurveda and holistic wellness, delivered an informative presentation on women’s health and healthy living. She emphasized preventive healthcare, balanced nutrition, stress management, and traditional Ayurvedic practices that contribute to long-term wellness and overall quality of life.
Archana Agrawal, Founder and Chairwoman of the Agrawal Foundation, shared her inspiring journey of combining entrepreneurship with philanthropy. She spoke about preserving Hindu traditions, supporting families through meaningful community initiatives, and transforming dreams into reality through compassion and service.
Dr. Mohini Verma, a dental health professional, educated attendees about oral hygiene, preventive dental care, and the importance of maintaining lifelong dental health for women and families.
Each presentation was followed by discussions.
Among the distinguished community leaders attending the program was Bhavini Patel, founder of Sanskriti, whose organization has long been committed to preserving Indian culture, promoting community engagement, and supporting charitable initiatives.
Following the event, Bhavini Patel shared her appreciation for the organizers and their vision.”It was an honor to attend the Women, Wellness & Community program hosted by the Hindu Women’s Network. It was a meaningful afternoon focused on women’s health, wellness, and the importance of building stronger communities. I sincerely thank Yash Desai for the invitation and for creating a platform that brings community leaders together, and National India Hub for hosting this wonderful event. We truly appreciate the opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with organizations making a positive impact across our community.”
According to HWN, one of its greatest achievements has been the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from participants after each event. Those responses continue to motivate HWN volunteers to improve future programs, incorporate participant suggestions, and create even more meaningful opportunities for women to connect and grow together, the organization said.
Numerous Indian-American organizations and community partners collaborated to hold the event, including National India Hub, VHPA, Hindu Women’s Network, Agrawal Foundation, YogVeda, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS USA), Hindu Vivah, FIA Chicago, and Diaspora Connect.
