HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., April 19, 2026 — Shree Jalaram Mandir successfully hosted its 14th Annual Health Fair on Sunday, providing free medical services to devotees and members of the local community.
The charitable initiative aimed to assist individuals who may lack access to healthcare due to financial constraints. This year’s Health Fair served hundreds of attendees, offering a comprehensive range of medical services delivered by healthcare professionals and volunteers.
Services included consultations with general physicians, EKG interpretations by cardiologists, dental checkups, pulmonary evaluations, eye exams, and physical therapy assessments. Attendees also received guidance on diet, nutrition and Ayurveda as part of a holistic approach to wellness.

In addition to consultations, participants underwent diagnostic screenings such as blood pressure and blood sugar testing, urinalysis, and other laboratory tests. The event was supported by approximately 75 medical and non-medical volunteers, along with Mandir committee members, the Lohana Association and community vendors.
Volunteers from the Mandir kitchen team provided tea, coffee and light breakfast to attendees, contributing to a welcoming environment throughout the day.
Health Fair coordinators Bakul Thakkar, Jigna Tucker and Jayantibhai Thakkar expressed gratitude to the volunteers and community members whose participation made the event a success. Organizers noted that the fair reflects the continued commitment of the Mandir and its supporters to community service and well-being.
