
Former Secretary of Commerce for President Bill Clinton and White House Chief of Staff for President Barack Obama, William โBillโ Daleyย announced his endorsement ofย Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthiย in his bid for the U.S. Senate, January 12, 2026.
Daleyโs support adds to the expanding coalition of Illinois leaders supporting Krishnamoorthiโs campaign. According to press releases from the campaign, the Indian American lawmaker is currently leading the contenders for the Democratic primary scheduled for March 17, 2026.

A businessman and public servant, Daley is a lifelong Chicagoan, apart from being the son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley and the brother of former Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Daleyโs endorsement adds to a growing list of current and former officials, including Lt. Governor Sheila Simon, Congressman Phil Hare (IL-17), Congressman Luis โโGutierrez (IL-04), as well as a coalition of trusted Chicago leaders.
