The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) Central Jersey Chapter successfully hosted a highly Community Health Seminar on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, NJ.
The seminar attracted more than 100 community members, who gathered to learn about the latest advances in cardiovascular health from leading heart specialist, Dr. Kintur Sanghvi, an interventional cardiologist.
Dr. Sanghvi’s Keynote address, “From Prevention to Intervention: A Modern Approach to Cardiovascular Health” was well received by the audience, a press release from GOPIO-NJ said.
Speaking in lay-person’s language, Dr. Sanghvi emphasized the importance of prevention as the first line of defense against heart disease and discussed lifestyle modifications, healthy nutrition, regular physical activity, stress management, early detection, and timely medical intervention.

He also highlighted the remarkable advancements in modern cardiology, including innovative diagnostic technologies, minimally invasive procedures, and lifesaving treatment options that have significantly improved patient outcomes.
Throughout the presentation, Dr. Sanghvi encouraged participants to take proactive steps toward protecting their cardiovascular health through routine screenings and regular consultations with healthcare professionals.
A question-and-answer session reflected the audience’s appreciation for his ability to make sophisticated medical information accessible and relevant to everyday life, organizers said.
The seminar was emceed by Executive Member of GOPIO Central Jersey, Sapna Mehta.
GOPIO Central Jersey President Nishith Mehta welcomed the attendees and provided a brief history of the organization, highlighting its worldwide mission of serving the Indian diaspora through education, community service, leadership development, and civic engagement.
Past President of GOPIO Central Jersey Dr. Tushar Patel, introduced Dr. Sanghvi by recognizing his distinguished career, outstanding contributions to cardiovascular medicine, and unwavering commitment to patient care and public health education. At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Patel delivered thanked Dr. Sanghvi as well as the attendees, volunteers, sponsors, media partners, and the organizing committee whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the event.
