WILLOWBROOK, IL — June 6, 2026: Internationally respected spiritual leader and humanitarian Didi Krishna Kumari, Global Head of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, inspired hundreds of attendees in Chicagoland with a powerful message: “Happiness is not a destination—it is a choice.”
Speaking at Ashton Place Banquets in Willowbrook, Didi Krishna delivered an uplifting talk titled “Choose Happiness,” encouraging individuals to find peace and fulfillment amid the stresses of modern life. The event was organized by the Sadhu Vaswani Center of Chicago and the Sindhi Association of Metropolitan Chicago, marking her return to the region after nearly a decade.
Addressing a diverse audience of professionals, families, community leaders, and spiritual seekers, Didi Krishna emphasized that despite technological advancements and busy schedules, people are increasingly struggling with anxiety, stress, and disconnection.
“What people everywhere are searching for is not more information, but more peace,” she said. “Happiness is not a destination. It is our natural state.”
Throughout her address, she shared practical guidance on cultivating gratitude, patience, positive thinking, meaningful relationships, and a spirit of service. One of her most memorable observations was:
“When we don’t have patience, our tolerance level comes down, our adjustment level comes down.”
The audience responded warmly to her blend of wisdom, humor, and practical life lessons. Participants were encouraged to affirm, “I am joy. I am peace. I am power,” reinforcing the importance of self-awareness and inner strength.
The event attracted civic leaders, healthcare professionals, business executives, and community representatives. Many attendees noted that Didi Krishna’s message of kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude transcended religious and cultural boundaries.
As the program concluded, attendees left inspired with practical tools to lead happier, more balanced lives.
Reflecting on the event, Suresh Bodiwala, Chairman of Asian Media USA, said, “Didi Krishna’s message reminds us that happiness is not something to chase but something to choose. Her wisdom offers hope, clarity, and practical guidance for everyday life.”
