Washington DC [US], April 1 (ANI): Actress Zendaya revealed she plans to take a break from acting after an unusually packed year featuring four movie releases and the return of her HBO series, Euphoria Season 3, according to People.
Speaking during an interview with her The Drama co-star Robert Pattinson and the film’s cast for Fandango, Zendaya said,”I guess, you know, I just hope people don’t get sick of me,” Zendaya said.
“I really appreciate everyone who supports any of the movies or who supports my career in any kind of way. I’m deeply appreciative, and like I said, I just hope you guys don’t get sick of me this year because I’ll tell you what: after this, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit,” she added, according to People.
Zendaya’s upcoming films include ‘The Drama’ with Pattinson, releasing April 3, The Odyssey directed by Christopher Nolan on July 17, Spider-Man: Brand New Day with fiance Tom Holland on July 31, and Dune: Part Three on December 18. She will also reprise her role as Rue in Euphoria, which returns to HBO on April 12.
In The Odyssey, Zendaya plays Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare, while Holland stars as Telemachus and Pattinson portrays Antinous. In the Dune series, she continues her role as Chani, love interest to Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides, with Pattinson appearing as antagonist Scytale.
Pattinson praised Zendaya’s professionalism, saying, “Even when we’re shooting in Boston on the street, everybody who comes by, she says hi… while still being so prepared and so into the job. I think it’d be really difficult to find someone who says a bad word about it,” according to People.
The Drama marks the first of Zendaya’s new projects this year, followed by a series of high-profile releases before her planned break. (ANI)
