The premiere political action committee, PAC, focused on Indian American candidates running for public office up and down the ballot, is urging people from the community to vote in the primaries so that more individuals from the community have a shot at being elected in the general elections.
In a June 5, 2025 email blast, Impact notes at least 3 crucial primaries of candidates endorsed by the organization, who are looking to become Democratic nominees for their offices.
“Oftentimes, South Asian voters are overlooked in primaries because they rarely vote. However, primaries are the elections where voters have the best opportunity to choose candidates that best match their values within their party,” Impact notes, adding, “Voting in primaries and supporting values-aligned South Asian candidates are essential in building civic power within our community.”

Following are the Indian American/South Asian candidates endorsed by IMPACT, running in June primaries in two states and the City of New York:
