
Bensenville, IL — October 11, 2025.The spirit of Diwali illuminated Manav Seva Mandir in Bensenville, as the Indian Seniors of Chicago, ISC, celebrated its Annual Diwali Festival which attracted 500 members and guests, to enjoy music, dance, and community networking.

The event began with the traditional Deep Pragtya (lamp lighting ceremony), symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. Chief guests Chhotalal Patel, Dahya Prajapati, Hari Patel, Bhailal Patel, Rajendra Chauhan, joined President Dilip Patel and Narsingh Patel in performing the auspicious ritual.

Treasurer Hemant Modi, in his welcome address, announced that next year’s Diwali celebration will coincide with the organization’s Jubilee Year, marking a major milestone for the group. President Dilip Patel greeted guests with floral bouquets and expressed appreciation for the continued unity and dedication among senior members.
Chhotalal Patel, in his keynote address, emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle through exercise, hydration, balanced nutrition, and positive thinking, drawing applause from attendees.

The lively program was conducted by Secretary Navin Patel and Daksha Parikh. The stage came alive with a devotional Shankar Stuti, followed by a graceful dance to “Satyam Shivam Sundaram” performed by Panna Shah and Jayshree Seth.

A talent show followed, featuring karaoke songs by Jayanti Oza, Hemant Modi, Pushpa Parekh, Daksha Parikh, Ashwin Thakkar, Jashwant Seth, and Arvind Kotke. The audience cheered as performers showed their creativity and confidence.
Performers were felicitated by President Dilip Patel and Vice President Kanti Patel, recognizing their dedication and artistry.
The musical finale featured popular singer Rajesh Chalam, who performed Hindi melodies that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along.
