PRINCETON, N.J. (Dec. 8, 2025) — More than 200 music enthusiasts gathered Sunday for the second “Classically Yours,” an evening of raag-based Hindi film music presented by Foram Music under the direction of Foram Shah and Sanjay Shah.
The event, held Dec. 7 at Royal Albert’s Palace in New Jersey, featured songs rooted in Hindustani classical raags spanning more than 75 years of Indian cinema. Fifteen singers and four accompanying musicians performed more than 30 selections. Dr. Tushar Patel emceed the program, offering background on each raag and its musical nuances.
Grand sponsor Piyush Patel, a New Jersey entrepreneur, provided major support for the event. Additional backing came from Rupen and Hina Patel, Della, and Utpal and Nirmal Jagad.

A centerpiece of the evening was a showcase by members of the organization’s yearlong music workshop. Participants performed songs based on more than 15 classical raags, including Khamaj, Yaman, Shivranjani, Bhairavi, Bhupali and Pilu. Foram and Sanjay Shah also delivered several solo performances.
Shah emphasized the organization’s mission to strengthen classical music training in the community, particularly for young artists. She noted that although the tri-state area hosts more than 50 singing groups, many vocalists seek structured guidance and classical grounding.

The program included professional photo and video coverage by Sunil Dubey and sound engineering by Nikul Shah. Guests were served appetizers and dinner by Royal Albert’s Palace.
