
Chapman University Argyros College of Business & Economics hosted an AI Impact
Summit in collaboration with the Government of India and Chief Guest, The Consul
General of India Los Angeles, Dr. K. J. Srinivasa. Chapman University was one of the
few Universities globally to be selected to host a Pre-Summit preview to the Global AI
Impact Summit the Government on India is hosting in a few weeks this February in New
Delhi.

Chapman University Business Student and SME (Society for Manufacturing Engineers)
Chapman Student Chapter President Aria Alahmad introduced Adjunct Professor Yatri
Shukla who gave an overview of Chapman University's high nationally ranked
programs. She mentioned that Chapman was selected to host the AI Impact Summit as
Chapman is ranked as one of the most innovative universities in America (#60 Most
Innovative University by U.S. News and World Report). Chapman University Provost
Dr. Michael Ibba welcomed business and community leaders to our campus and gave
opening remarks. Dr. Srinivasa gave letters addressed to President Matt Parlow,
Provost Mike Ibba, Dr. Pradip Shukla, and Keynote Speaker Jay Cherian Google
Applied AI Team to thank Chapman University. The letter thanked Chapman University
Argyros College of Business & Economics.
AI Startup firms were presented by their founders: Starlight Solutions, LLC by Dinesh
Kulkarni, MBA, StarQuiz by Cem Cizem, and Purpose.app by Raj Singh. Chapman
Faculty Panelists shared research findings on AI and Impacts: moderated by Vice
President of Research Dr. Martina Nieswandt, Dr. Sarah Bana, Dr. Seth Benzell, Dr.
Jonathan Hersh, and Dr. Erik Linstead. Artesia City Councilwoman Zeel A. Ahir
presented Certificates of Appreciation to Chups Mom2Mom co-founder Sami
Susaimanickam and Vijay Shethna for helping to empower moms with every meal
distributed. The Keynote Address was given by Jay Cherian Google Applied AI Team
Black Belt. Thank were extended to Dean Tom Turk of the Chapman University Argyros
College of Business & Economics, Chapman Chief Information Officer Phillip Lyle,
Thompson Policy Institute Executive Director Meghan Cosier, Ph.D., Executive Director
Araceli Martinez, and other campus leaders for welcoming community attendees such
as TiE Global Board Member Anshuman Sinha and TiE leaders Ashish Saboo, Dr.
Partha Dutta.
Several business and community leaders attended and participated. Event co-sponsors
were GOPIO-LA, SMAP, Saahas for Cause, SoCal Channel as Media Partner, and
Chups Mom2Mom founded by Sami Susaimanickam that prepared special curated food
trays for guests.
