
The Indian American Senior Association (IASA) of Clifton hosted a Diwali celebration on October 25, 2025, at TCL Community Center.
More than 300 members, guests, and dignitaries attended, according to a press release from IASA, including elected officials, Board of Education members from City Hall of Clifton, and Mayor Andre from the City of Paterson.
Organizers said the highlight of the celebration was delicious food and Bollywood music.
President of IASA Bharat Rana welcomed attendees and thanked celebrities, donors, supporters, and executive committee members – Secretary Harish Sanghvi, VP Jayesh Gandhi, Jt. Secretary Yogesh Trivedi, Jt. Treasurer Randhir Naik, PR Arun Bhatia and hardworking Women’s Wing, for their continued support throughout the year.

In his speech, Rana noted how Diwali symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. He added, “Diwali is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of our rich cultural heritage and the spirit of unity and diversity that binds us together. It’s a time for family, friends, and community to come together, share joy, and strengthen bonds,” and urged members to spread the message of Diwali. “Let us strive to spread light, love, and positivity in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Let us work towards creating a society that is inclusive, compassionate, and just for all.”
The Indian American Senior Association (IASA) of Clifton is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural heritage, community service, and social welfare among Indian American seniors in Clifton and surrounding areas.
