
Siwan (Bihar) [India], October 17 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, held a roadshow in the Siwan Assembly constituency in Bihar on Friday. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than 30 crore people have come out of poverty.
Dhami attended the nomination ceremony of BJP candidate Deveshkant Singh in Goriakothi. He received a grand welcome at the gathering.
“During the Congress era, only slogans of ‘remove poverty’ were given, but today in the Modi government, work is being done for the poor. The result of which is that today more than 30 crore people in India have come out of the poverty line,” Dhami said.
He further said that under the leadership of PM Modi grand temple of Lord Ram has been built in Ayodhya.
“In Kashi, the Vishwanath Corridor has been inaugurated. In Ujjain, the Mahakal Lok Corridor has been built. Many people visit Uttarakhand for the Char Dham Yatra. In the 2013 flood disaster, the Kedarnath complex was devastated, but it has been renovated under the leadership of PM Modi,” he added.
Later, Dhami attended a public meeting in Warsaliganj. The Chief Minister urged the people to elect the NDA with a thumping majority and appealed for votes in support of Aruna Devi. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development for every section of Bihar is being ensured. Dhami also targeted the opposition, stating that the history of RJD and Congress is rooted only in corruption and dynastic politics.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday sounded the BJP’s election bugle in Saran district as he campaigned for incumbent Taraiya MLA Janak Singh and the party’s candidate from Amnour assembly, Krishan Kumar Mantoo.
Addressing the rally in Taraiya, Amit Shah reminded the youth of Bihar about former CM Lalu Yadav’s jungle raj and pointed out how Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has gotten rid of it in the last 20 years.
“When you start campaigning from Saran, we only see victory. There is no better place than Chhapra, Saran, to remind the youth of Bihar about that jungle raj of Lalu and Rabri and take a pledge to fight against it,” he said.
“Nitish Kumar has freed Bihar from Jungle Raj. PM Modi, over the last 11 years, has worked to develop Bihar. PM Modi’s 11 years have been a blessing to the poor,” he added.
Polling for the Bihar elections 2025 will take place on November 6 and 11. The results will be announced on November 14. The NDA has finalised its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, with the BJP and Janata Dal (United) set to contest 101 constituencies each.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) have been allotted six seats each, while Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest on 29 seats. (ANI)
