Carol Stream, IL – July 20, 2025. Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago (BSC) proudly commenced the week-long spiritual lecture series titled “Gita Anand Maha Marg” at the Rana Reagan Center in Carol Stream, a suburb near Chicago, from Sunday, July 20 through Saturday, July 26, 2025.
The spiritually charged week began with a grand welcome for the revered speaker Pujya Shri Bhupendrabhai Pandya, a renowned orator of Vedanta and Bhagavad Gita. The event opened with a vibrant ‘Pothi Shobha Yatra’—a ceremonial procession of sacred scripture—followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana beautifully rendered by BSC Secretary.

In a touching moment of hospitality and devotion, Shri Haribhai of BSC formally welcomed Pujya Shri Bhupendrabhai, while longtime supporters and event sponsors Kamleshbhai and Heenaben Shahwar respectfully performed a Tilak ceremony in honor of the spiritual guide.
The venue was graced by nearly 500 enthusiastic attendees, all eager to absorb the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Pujya Shri Bhupendrabhai’s message struck a deep chord:
“Amidst material wealth, modern amenities, and global connectivity, the educated class is increasingly distanced from their inner self. The external world may offer comfort, but true peace, joy, and spiritual progress come only from within—through the light of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.”

In a special highlight of the evening, **Pujya Bhupendrabhai unveiled the second edition of a book by celebrated humorist and cultural icon Jagdish Trivedi, delighting the audience with this literary tribute.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt Aarti, after which attendees enjoyed a warm community dinner at 8:00 PM, celebrating not just the nourishment of the soul but also of the body and spirit.

The Gita Anand Maha Marg lecture series continues daily through July 26, offering a profound opportunity for spiritual growth, cultural bonding, and collective reflection for the Indian-American community in the greater Chicago area.
